Family
Weekend 2007
This year's Family Weekend was
once again a great success. A total of 155 Family members joined us for the
whole weekend and a further 62 day delegates were part of the event.
We were helped and informed by
16 speakers who provided wonderful information and guidance, both in the
session and informally throughout the weekend. Professor Adrian Bird
addressed a packed house on “studying the reversibility of Rett syndrome”.
Prof. Bird gave us a talk which was clear and pitched for the layman but
which covered the ground and the issues wonderfully well. See Autumn’s Rett
News for a full Family Weekend report.
The weekend also included the
Association’s Annual General Meeting and the appointment of Peter Oliver as
Chair and of Susan Walker-Date as Vice Chair.
